Privacy Policy for Participation in the Survey on "Injuries in Surfing Sports 2024"

We appreciate your interest in our survey on sports injuries. Protecting your personal data is important to us. In this privacy policy, we inform you about what personal data we collect, how we process this data, and what rights you have concerning your data.

2. Collected Data In the context of this survey, we collect the following personal data:

  • Gender
  • Age
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Type of sports injury
  • Duration of injury-related absence
  • Treatment course
  • Additional relevant information about your sports injury, such as the accident and circumstances

The data is collected anonymously, without requesting your name, address, or contact information. It is not possible to directly identify individuals. The IP addresses of participants are not stored.

3. Purpose of Data Processing The collected data is used for the following purposes:

  • Conducting and evaluating the survey
  • Analyzing the results to improve prevention and treatment methods for sports injuries
  • Publishing the results in scientific publications

4. Legal Basis for Data Processing The processing of your personal data is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Your participation in the survey is voluntary.

Data Sharing No further personal data beyond those mentioned (such as gender, age, height, weight, type of sports injury, duration of injury-related absence, and treatment course) will be collected, which could be shared with third parties. These data will be statistically published in the context of the scientific study without allowing conclusions about individual study participants.

6. Data Retention Period Your personal data will be stored as long as necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned above. After the completion of the survey and the evaluation of the results, your personal data will be deleted unless legal retention obligations prevent this.

7. Your Rights You have the right to:

  • Request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Article 15 GDPR;
  • Request the correction of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored by us without delay in accordance with Article 16 GDPR;
